What is not to love?! I thought that one of the bigger local barbecue places was my favorite until I happened to be driving down Canton Road and could smell barbecue as I drove past. I decided to pull over, go in and eat that day and I have been back many times. Every meat that I have tried there has been tender and fabulous. There is a great selection of sides, my favorite being the corn fritters. And let me tell you, the french fries alone are worth paying a visit to Lockdown Barbecue...

Been here a few times -- great barbeque. The pulled pork and brisket are both very good, and I like the wide variety of sauces. Sides are very good - the potato salad is very good - creamy and nicely seasoned. The daily specials have been good when we've caught them -- the cuban sandwich was excellent. It's become our neighborhood go-to for good barbeque. Service is always friendly.

Update: I went back (um, a few times). Everything I said was great before remains great. The Mac & cheese has been awesome every other time, it's not greasy! I must've gotten a dud serving the first time. Their green beans and fried okra are also great. Their baked beans are the real deal from scratch, and they are well worth the sideways glances you get from people later. In fact, I might eat a big plate for lunch and then go grocery shopping and do a silent-but-deadly drive-by for everyone not wearing a mask, or wearing it under their nose...

I've been to Georgia now 3 x and ever since the 1st time eating the smoked chicken salad, I fell in love. I try chicken salad every where and it's never as good as lockdown. Then to add the amazing sides, such as the collard greens and the Brunswick stew, nothing is better. I get 1 pound of smoked chicken salad myself to eat and take back on the ride home in a cooler. I need it every time I come here. Everything is fresh and made right there. Staff is quick and friendly. Very busy take out and Uber eats place. I've done both and love both as long as I get it.

Ribs were so tender and delicious. I ended up ordering the sampler plate with smoked wings, ribs, and a 1/4 chicken (dark) with Mac and cheese and fried okra. Everything was tasty My fav bbq sauce is the Triple S sauce but all of the other 6 or 7 that I tried were very good. Didn't include a picture because my hands were clean and well...covid. Very friendly and great customer service. Definitely returning to try more sides!!
